Happy Birthday Dear Xanga... You have been a good friend to me for two years...

Yeah, so the huge design change, didn't happen. I've been designing websites like a crazy man. So maybe next month or before the summer my Xanga will get a "face lift".

As I've said before... only me and my friends can come up with the following after watching Taxi...

The original line in Taxi was,
"I don't want to get Daewoo on my hands"

Since then we have been now known to say some of the following:
"Your car, it wreaks of Daewoo"
"You smell / stink of Daewoo"
"Yo momma, she stinks of Daewoo"
"I will not touch your car, for I do not want to get Daewoo on my hands!"

and the list can go on and on...  and for the last one, none of us even have a Daewoo, but it brings us enjoyment.

In other news, Hope got her license! So that's a huge great thing! We're all happy and proud of her. So congrats Hope... oh wait, that's right, I was the one who took her, and helped her clean her car today, so I've already said that... oh well, the world can read it now too..

So very tardy tonight... my brain, it wreaks Daewoo tonight.. lol...

Good Day... I got paid, which is always a plus and I also have more work that is completed. So that's great! I had lunch with Brian today, which was nice. We don't get to see each other too much, but I try and make it a point to hang out with him as much as we're both able to. I also got the stuff done for work and got my business in Piketon done, so that's nice.

Well, tomorrow I have to take Hope to get her license and then get to work on stuff at home. So that's about it.

Well, I am going to jet...

*Dusts off Soap Box and Climbs On*

Today's sermon at New Life Church - Gahanna was nothing short of God sent and excellent. I'd like to speak on my personal point of view of this sermon.

First off, the title was "All the POWER You Need" and topic one was "The Power Over Fear". This past week my life has been filled with "fear". Fear of what people think, may do to me, fear for my health, fear for other's health, and the list could go on and on.

However, through all I was surprisingly calmer than I imagined myself being. I also have been kind of "bombarded" with some unnamed people annoying the heck out of me because of this journal. Then today this verse was taught on and I am no longer concerned with them...

"...Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."
- 2 Kings 6:16

It never occurred to me that when people have malicious attempts to hurt me, they don't have God on their side; and I do. What do I have to fear? The one who created me and created them and has the power to do whatever He will in that person’s life is on MY side. God is behind me and guides the path that I walk upon. He's given me the power to overcome fear, and their attempts of anonymous harassment.

I also was upset this week about my "self worth"; these people have robbed me of about any self worth I had. They made me feel like I was some horrible person that should be killed because I was not fit to walk the same earth they walk upon. Then this verse was spoken on today:

"But the very hairs on your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows"
- Matthew 10:30-31

I have no reason to be upset about my self worth. Those people cannot rob me of the single most thing that gives me the most worth, my faith. These people may have stripped me of everything else, but God, he defines me and gives me worth. He knows the very number of hairs on my head and cares for me that much.

Lastly God has lead this verse to cross my path...
"Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord."
- Romans 12:19

After these recent attempts I have not attempted to "get back". I haven't gone and spread rumors or contacted a bunch of people and said, "Oh look what these people have said." Nope, every night I've given it to God. In my life, God has allowed me to see what has happened to those who bring their revenge upon me and I do not react, but leave it to Him to revenge. All I have to say is I have seen with my own eyes, God's wrath, is far more powerful than any human. I would not want to be in some people's shoes at this moment, because God will repay, and God has control over everything in your life and world... scary thought...

* Climbs Down, Puts Soap Box Away*

So that's my view of today and my message for the people who know who they are and they fully know what they have done, and I know that someday, they'll answer for it...

So, in other news... I went upstairs to chat with the Sound Guy at New Life... He was like, "You know any video?" I was like, "yes" He was like, "Run a switcher?" I was like, "yep". He was like, "Show up Saturday Night... you will be used". So, it looks like I've suddenly came into the position of Video Director / Camera Dude. They're actually a little low on volunteers so I might jump around, I am pretty excited.

Well, I am going to change clothes and begin working on some websites for this week.

Happy Easter and Good Night!

Saturday March 26, 2005

So, you ever have one of those days? Let me explain the series of events for the day. First, we arrive at the BMV at 8:32 for her 8:30 appointment. We were told we were over 10 mins. late and that none of the other 8:30's had shown up, so she had to reschedule for Tuesday. So that was kind of like... bummer. So then we decide to return the Dodge Neon to her mom at work in Easton. So we depart from my house. As I was driving up Easton Way behind Staples and such, the car beings to smoke and the temperature goes through the roof! So I slam on the brakes, pull over, and let the car sit. Well, we finally make it to her mom's office in Easton.

Then we get my keys, drive to Meijer and buy coolant, then bring it back and test drive the Neon again. Well, I got to 270 and BAM the temperature came right back up. So then I proceeded to drive to an Advance Auto Parts and was like, "Have you changed your air filter on this car". The return response was, "Not that I know of". So I am like, "Well, if air can't get into the engine that would make sense as to why it would heat up like this. So, I proceed to take apart this Neon (which I've never seen a Dodge 2.0 SOHC engine until today.). I get to the air filter, and must I say... in all the years that I've been into cars and what not, I have NEVER seen an air filter this dirty. Like, it was no longer white anywhere and it brought new meaning to the word, "clogged"
. So we went in and got that and put it in.

Sure enough, the temp went down and stayed down. The car also ran like 100x better than before, and had some more power now. I also told her that the gas mileage should also improve because that poor engine had to work VERY hard to get any air through that filter. However, before that madness could end I did get almost side swiped as I was driving us back to her mom's office. Then slid as we came to the top of the ramp because she needs new front tires...

To help brighten our day, we visit Olive Garden. This was one highlight of the day.

So then her Mom's Ford Taurus SHO is in the shop. So we meet her mom to see if she gets her car or not... and they're closed. So on the way back I am sitting at a light and this random idiot comes flying up behind me, swerves on to the curb, and rides a guard rail and literally misses my car by about 1 in. or so.

At this point in the game, things... they cannot get much worse. So we return to my house to chill. We played some Xbox - HALO 2 and watched Friends. Then chatted for a long time and ate dinner and then I was like, let's order inDemand pay-per-view! So we got TAXI! That was the funniest movie ever. Maybe it was because we're such car fans... but still I loved it. Then we chatted some more and I took Hope home!

And that brings us to now. Where I am sitting here telling you about this event filled day. Now I am going to chat on the net and take it easy tonight.

Friday March 25, 2005

Well, taking Hope to go get her license today! I think she's going to do great, and I really hope she gets it. Then after that we have to go get my car from her mom, since we have to take their other car for the test and Hope's mom's car is in the shop. So that's what's going on! I have no clue what's going on today other than that... so, I am going to go and get ready since Hope has an 8:30 appointment in Delaware, OH.
