So, Christmas is in full swing here at the Massie house. Grandma and Mom have decided to spend Christmas Eve and Morning at my house. So I have the fireplace going, tree is lit, Carpenter’s Christmas CD playing and we’re setting up the house for Christmas.

So, there has been some awesome things happening. Tonight I came home and put up my Christmas tree (better late than never). It looks awesome, if I do say so myself. Nothing like a 6 1/2′ tree with 500 lights. Now I have to decorate it tomorrow so we have a somewhat decent tree to open gifts around. Pictures will be up soon.
Then the even bigger news is that WE NO LONGER OWN THE GRAND AM. That’s right folks, I traded in the car this afternoon for my mom. Thanks to our AWESOME friends at Nissan North my mom is now driving a Silver 2004 Nissan Maxima 3.5SE (Leather Package). The car is beyond fully loaded. She’s very happy and I’m happy to see her in an ultra reliable car. As soon as the weather breaks (if ever… this is Ohio) I’ll take some pictures and upload them to my blog.

So, tonight I stopped at K-Mart to do some Christmas shopping. As I was wondering around the store I happened to see a book stand in an out of the way place, next to the Christmas Trees, which I so happened to be needing to buy.
I took a quick glance at the rack seeing your normal Max Lucado Christmas books and what not and almost kept going when I saw a book that just seemed to catch my eye and without evening thinking, I picked it up.
The title of the book read, “When GOD Winks at YOU – How God Speaks Directly to You Through the Power of Coincidence”. I just put it in my cart without thinking. Oddly enough, not even reading the back cover to see if I would like it or even if it would apply to anything I was interested in.
I get home tonight and see it in the bag and think, “I’ll just read the first page or section.” I just finished Chapter 1, and can’t wait to read more tomorrow. It made me stop and think about things in life that I’ve had happen that can only be classified as what they would call a “GodWink”.
I just wanted to share this with everyone, that it’s an awesome read so far and I’ll post more later.

So, I’ve been working a lot lately. I’m rarely home and it’s been kind of crazy. I must say that it is worth it with Christmas coming up and me paying off a lot of bills. Thankfully after January I’ll have next to no bills (well, besides living expenses, a car payment and mortgage payment). Everything else will be paid off. YAY! So, if you think that I’ve died or I’m mad at you, I’m not. I’ve been so busy that I currently have 30+ UNREAD messages in my personal e-mail and I have voice mail out the wazoo… I’m going to try and catch up this weekend, but I don’t know how much I’ll be able to do.
Lets see if I can give a cliff notes version of my life for the past month since I’ve been so busy I haven’t updated:
- Working 60+ hours a week
- Thanksgiving at my house went very well
- Sold stuff on eBay
- Purchased stuff at BestBuy
- Got PS2 and Guitar Hero and DDR
- Got addicted to PS2, Guitar Hero and DDR
- Now watch How I Met Your Mother, Brothers&Sisters, Nip/Tuck, on a regular basis
- HDTV on a 56″ TV is AWESOME
- Painted Dining Room / Kitchen
- Refinishing Kitchen Cabinets
- Painting in Living Room
So, that’s the short version. I’ll post pictures later of the before and after shots of the house… I’m sure people will be surprised. Well, I need to go to bed.

So, I’m sitting here typing this on the NEW TV. A lot has changed lately. I sold the iMac, Powerbook and Old TV. I’m now the proud owner of a 56″ JVC LCD Projection TV (1080p HDTV). So, yeah, I’m loving that. Guitar Hero has never looked better or sounded for that fact. I also purchased a Panasonic 5.1 Surround Sound Home-Theater-In-A-Box and it has the new HDMI connect for the new TV so DVDs LOOK AND SOUND AWESOME!
I’m getting ready to sell some more stuff on ebay, I’m addicted. Just wanted to let everyone know that I am among the living. I’m working crazy hours so I’m never home much during the week. I’ll try and post some pictures as I’m doing some house remodeling and painting this weekend! Take care everyone! Comments are welcome.
