This Week’s Outlook

So, today was my 2nd cousin Luke’s 4th birthday party. That was cool, he’s growing up so fast. Afterwards I went over to my Aunt and Uncle’s house to look at their computer. Just some Windows XP issues, that I quickly resolved. Then we sat around and chatted. I always enjoy catching up with them (thankfully they live in Grove City as well so the drive is short). I came home and watched the entire ABC Sunday Night Line-up. Good Stuff…

This week is super busy. I am working every night until 10:00 PM on a project. Then this weekend I’m going with my Aunt to the Flower Factory (wholesale store) to buy some stuff for the house for cheap. I’m also going to go check out Sams Club, Odd Lots, Garden Ridge, Wal-Mart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Michaels to see if I can find stuff to finish decorating the house for Thanksgiving since everyone is coming over to my house. I also need to go to Oak Express and order the final two chairs for my dining room set and check out to see how much the buffet is.

Saturday was a blast. Lucas came over to my house and watched the game with me. Something that NO ONE ever does. Yes, that’s right, I always have to go to someone else’s house to watch the game, no one ever comes over to my house to watch it. It was funny, I introduced Lucas to 1080i HDTV and the Buckeyes in 720. He was floored by the difference in quality. Yes! Another HDTV convert :-D . (big grin). Since the Buckeyes were eating Minnesota we decided to mute the game and do some car research on the internet.

Afterwards I got ready and we took off to start our night of haunted housing. We met up with Josh and then found Katy. I drove us out to Dead Acres in Pataskala and we got VIP tickets. It was by far my favorite haunted house. So, I’m not startled easily, but I enjoy going for the thrill. Then we went to Terror Park and that was “ok” but after Dead Acres… it didn’t seem all that great. We then went to Tee Jays for a late night breakfast. We then headed up to Lucas’s apartment where we played my xbox for a little bit. I got tired and took off.

That’s about it. I’ll try and post as much as I can this week…

Through Glass

So, I changed the theme. I had been thinking about this theme and just recently felt like it would be something cool to put up.

Sometimes in life I feel like there are moments that I am “looking at through the glass” like the song says. Almost like you’re there, but you’re not. That phrase, I’m sure, only makes sense to me. I really like the lyrics, they have a lot of meaning. Check out my “About The Theme” page to see more.

Hope and I were able to hang out tonight. I’ve missed her a lot. With me working full-time and her going to school and working we don’t get to see each other like we used to, so it was a good evening eating Flyers and watching TV. Thanks for hanging out Hope!

I’m tired, and I’m going to bed. Tomrrow will consist of cleaning. I might watch the game, I don’t know. I haven’t felt much like I’ve been in much of a “football watching” mood. I’m supposed to go to haunted houses tomorrow evening, but I’m still not sure if I’m going to go or not. I feel very “behind the glass” right now, so to speak. Church on Sunday and then my cousin Luke’s 4th Birthday Party. Hard to believe that kid will be 4. I remember when he was born… Wow…

P.S. – So while you’re outside looking in, describing what you see, remember what you see is me.

So much going on

Well, I have so much going on right now it isn’t even funny.

First off, tonight I had a small scare. I got a phone call late this afternoon saying they admited my aunt due to having a blood clot in her lungs. Well, they caught it in time and we found out that she was out of danger, so that was a relief.

I was talking with a co-worker who we just temporarily hired for a project. Comes to find out that before he got hired, he found my blog when searching for Pomeroy IT Solutions. I was surprised, you don’t have too many people tell you that they found your blog BEFORE you give it to them or talk about it. It’s all good though, I have it on a .com for a reason.

I’m doing some new projects at work that take a lot of my time. It’s fun though, as I’m an hourly employee so extra cash is always nice! I don’t have much time during the week to do anything, the weekend I have to fit in what I didn’t do during the week… but I still have a little bit of free time.

That’s about all right now, I’m tired and don’t feel like typing more, but felt I should let everyone know I’m living and what’s going on.

God Bless,

The Best Time

to shop has to be at 11:00 PM on a Saturday. So, I cleaned my house all day yesterday and finally around 8:30 PM Katy came over so we could go shopping and to dinner. So we went to Longhorn for an excellent dinner. Afterwards we came back to my house, got coupons and looked through the ads for sale items. After this we took off and went shopping at 11:00 PM at night. I got some stuff at Wal-Mart and groceries at Giant Eagle and Kroger.

By the time we were finished I was putting all the stuff away at 2:00 AM this morning. Afterwards I went to bed and got up this morning at 7:50 AM. I got ready and headed off to church. I’ll post on this later as I have some thoughts about today’s sermon (which I loved).

I got home and found that my friend Katy was sick and so she stopped by early and got some meds and food from me while waiting for the clan to come over so we could work on a project. Then we watched Halloweentown – Witch U, wasn’t all that great, but I had to watch it since I grew up watching Haloweentown… lol.

We then had our meeting and everyone took off. I’m now sitting here in my PJs listening to music on my media center PC. I’ll post another post about the sermon to help separate my thoughts. So this week is going to be busy, but hopefully I’ll survive.

This week…

Hasn’t been so great. The weather, people, events… it all has sucked, and I’m so tired of it. I think I’m going to change up my plans this weekend in hopes that a change of pace will change the direction that this week has gone.

So, just felt I would share. I’ll post more later.

Woah! Design Change.

Yeah, so I am hoping this is for the good. From now on I will put a custom touch on the site. So watch for the changing titles and headers. For now I’ve decided to post a customer header I threw together to honor some lyrics. As you will also notice that there is an explanation page for everyone who has no clue what it means :-) .

So to save you all the trouble of clicking on that, here is what this “theme” means:

Blue October – Congratulations

My friend Katy introduced me to this song. Until then, I thought Blue October only sang “Hate Me”. I came to fall in love with this song. The opening line is, “Is that seat taken? Congratulations”.

Night Everyone,

So for lunch yesterday…

There is a Hooters that opened up in Hilliard and Katy suggested we go there. So Josh, Katy and I ride up to Hooters and go for lunch. So, we’re greeted at the door by 15 Hooter girls and then go to our table. Our waitress didn’t have any brains, which was not cool. So we traded drinks and traded food because she couldn’t give us the right stuff. The food wasn’t all that great it’s over priced and I was forced by peer pressure to do “the wave”.

Just thought I would share my experience.

Life

So, I have been running around like crazy lately. Let me go ahead and detail the last few days for you…

Tuesday
Well, nothing much really happened here. Met with some friends after work and then went and got Trivial Pursuit: Pop Culture 2 at Toys-R-Us. Yeah, never again will I play this with Katy unless we’re on teams. We played it that evening (we being: Josh, Hope, Katy and myself) and Katy of course knew everything and beat us all. Afterwards Katy and I hung out for a little bit.

Wednesday
Nothing special here, had a meeting with some friends. Ate dinner with some more friends and then went home.

Thursday
I traveled to Berlin, Ohio for a project that I was working on. It ended up being a not so smooth project and had me pretty rattled when I finally arrived at 8:00 PM in Grove City. I met my friend Katy for dinner and we sat and talked like normal, always great fun.

Friday
This was my friend Bob’s last day at Pomeroy. We celebrated by going to lunch at the Olive Garden (yum!). Then later that night I met up with Katy and Josh to go see her friend Trevin wrestle (very good I might add). I finally got to meet the infamous Trevin as well as Miah (of Katy’s clan) and they’re both cool people. Dinner at Pizza Hut, Dinner again at TJs (I didn’t eat anything really). Then we headed back to Katy’s house where Josh, Katy and I attempted to play Clue DVD. I was so dead tired that I kept falling asleep when it wasn’t my turn. Quote of the evening from sleepy John, “WHY do you keep showing me the Kitchen?? Don’t I have it marked off? (looks very drowsily at paper) Oh yeah, I have that.” Good times…

Saturday
So, when I make it home at 4:00 AM after the two rousing games of Clue, I crash on my bed. I finally wake up at 12:30. I then bum around on the net and finally put clothes in a basket and head off to my Mom and Grandma’s house to do laundry and visit. Afterwards I head back to my house to get ready for the evening.

Well, I drive to Katy’s and meet her and Josh there. We sit for a while and then find out plans changed that we need to go pick up Bob and Lucas and then meet everyone on Avery Road. So, we go get everyone, pile them into my Saab and drive up to Avery Road. From here we drive to Van Wert, Ohio (aka, out in the middle of no where) to this haunted farm. It contained two haunted houses and one haunted corn maize.

So, here is the story, I’ve never been to a haunted house or anything like that. Come to find out Lucas hasn’t been to one either. So, we wait in line, Katy and Bob have a “moment”, lol (she was keeping his ears warm with her hands) and we finally get to go through the first house. I held onto Katy’s shirt and only jumped once, for the most part I was laughing at Katy because she’s so jumpy. Her and Lucas were quite cute walking through holding hands, hahaha. When she reads this, I know I’ll be getting hit in the near future.

Second was the Corn Maize. This was fun, Katy got scared a bunch of times. I think she managed to trip and then hug some corn, so it was all good.

Lastly, was the last house. It wasn’t that scary but it was still fun. It had no walls, only chain link fence and then it was filled with smoke. Not enough people jumped out, so it wasn’t that scary, but still a good time.

From here we headed off to Waffle House in Marysville. Afterwards we (Josh, Katy, Lucas and I) headed to Katy’s and taught Lucas how to play Euchre. Then Josh took off, Lucas fell asleep on Katy’s couch and I drove Home.

Sunday
My alarm fails to go off and I miss church, which made me mad. I called Katy to find out if Lucas was still there, he was, so we decided to meet for Breakfast at 2:00 in the afternoon. We go to Bob Evans and get some awesome breakfast. Then head up to the dollar theater to see “You, Me and Dupree” (funny movie, but glad I only paid $1.00 to see it). Afterwards I went home and worked on my budget for November, then went to bed.

Monday
Well, yesterday was crazy. I can’t go into detail, but I can say that it seems like everyone I knew had something going on in their life. I didn’t have a good day, but I just shrugged it off and moved on.

TODAY
Well, it’s raining, people can’t drive. Nothing new there. I’ve been blogging since 8:45am and now I’m finishing up. I have a few service calls to go out on today and some admin work to do at the office.

Well, I am going to run.

Lata,

Today

Has been crazy… Beyond crazy really… More on this later.

Oh Canada! and More.

So, I know I haven’t updated lately. I’m so sorry, life has been crazy. Vacations, people, work, so much changing and running around me like crazy. So, let me see if I can fill you all in so you can see what’s going on.

“Canada”
So, on a whim I was inspired to take my family on a last minute weekend get-away to the Niagara Falls area. My Grandma loves lighthouses and there is a lighthouse at Fort Niagara that would be open for tours, but only on October 7, 2006. Well, since we would be up by Niagara Falls, we figured we would ride Maid of the Mist. Then, I wanted to make the trip extra special, and I booked a room in Canada. We stayed at Doubletree Suites, on the 17th floor. Our room overlooked the falls and part of the city. The view was absolutely breathtaking. It was nice to get to spend some quality time with just my mom and grandma, to share in that was something I’ll never forget. We had a great time, to see more, see my Flickr account.

“I found that I have what this world calls friends. – Blue October | It’s Just Me”
For years I wanted friends, real friends, and for what feels like the first time in life, I have them. Hope, Brian, Bob, Lucas, Josh, Katy, Kristy, Shawna, Kelly, Tony, Karen, and many more (if you didn’t get a personal mention, then leave a comment, I’ve been awake since 5 something this morning and not quite thinking all too clearly). So, in turn, I’ve become Mr. Popularity and Mr. In Demand for the first time in my life as well. It’s a nice feeling to be wanted by more than just your family.

“Kochenderfer”
So, I need to give a shout out to Katy Katy Kochenderfer (that is pronounced, COKE-en-DER-fur). She’s a new addition to my list of friends and we’ve been hanging out. Come to find out that there is a poor soul out there that is similar to me and my gang, poor girl. She’s been a lot of fun and I am glad that I’m able to be her friend and that she thinks enough of me to bestow upon me the title of friend as well. So, hats off to Katy and welcome. I feel really blessed to have crossed paths with her and able to be her friend ☺.

“Some Thoughts”
Well, I’ve been praying a lot lately and trying to ask God to deal with some things in my life. It is interesting since there has been insane amounts of drama and I am just so tired of the drama. I’ve been praying for God to just take care of it. Then I have amazingly become so busy I’ve not thought about it. The people have finally disappeared from my life and it’s at peace for once. God is good, that’s all I can say.

“Business Trip”
I’ve been traveling for work. I got back today from Berlin, Ohio after doing a TokenRing to Ethernet conversion and deployment at a O-I Plant. Great fun… So, work is keeping me challenged and busy. I’m loving Pomeroy more every day that I’m there. The people and the company have been excellent to work with. I also must say that I enjoy my work environment a lot. I plan on staying for quite some time.

Well, there is an update. I’m going to bed…
