Sunday November 27, 2005

Today was fun. Amy and I went to church. People talked to me at church. It was interesting. Amy came over and we ate dinner with my family. Now we’re sitting here doing homework and contemplating leaving the house for a while to break from our paper writing.

Well… here is the story…

So I was hanging out with Adam at my house on Thanksgiving and I get an e-mail around 11:30 on Turkey Day. This e-mail told me that CompUSA had a ViewSonic 27″ HDTV LCD Monitor/TV for $649.99 (after rebates). Well, I decided that I’ve worked long and hard enough these past few weeks to get me something I’d really enjoy for the PC. So Adam and I hopped in my car and stood in the freezing cold at CompUSA at 11:45 (they opened at Midnight). Well, we get in to find that they DIDN’T EVEN CARRY THE PRODUCT BEFORE THANKSGIVING! I was peeved to say the least…

So then we ran up to the one off of Sawmill, yep… THEY SAID THE SAME THING. Talk about false advertising. By this time it is 1:00 AM and I was fed up with CompUSA so I called Amy and told her to meet me at Waffle House because our Black Friday was going to start early after we saw the line at CompUSA.

So we ate breakfast, and that was VERY good. Then we headed off to Best Buy in Dublin thinking that no one would be there that early… wrong… There was about 20 or so people. So we got in the car and sat all squished in my backseat (to keep warm) until about 2:30 or 3:00 where we then got out in the cold and stood in line. So we made friends with the people in front of us, and I might have been on TV since NBC4 was out filming my group in line. I got a *ticket* for the TV I wanted; a 26″ Westinghouse LCD HDTV. I ran through the store and was the first person to purchase one. I got it (after rebates) for something like $499.99 plus a $75.00 gift card. So technically I got it for like $300.00ish. I am SO happy with it. Nothing like having a HUGE monitor for your PC. TV and Movies are AWESOME…

Well, gotta jet… Amy and Adam came over to hang out.

Peace,
J

Happy Thanksgiving!

Tuesday November 22, 2005

Well, I just got home at 10:30 PM and I went into work at 8:00 AM this morning AND I didn’t even get a real lunch. If I have one more person tell me I don’t work hard… there will be trouble.

Buckeyes Won :-)

Friday November 18, 2005

Might as well announce the thing that I haven’t announced since it is public knowledge in some places. As of November 14, 2005 (yes, my birthday) Unisys Inc. hired John C. Massie as a Client Infrastructure Representative 4. I am a full time employee. In addition, I am working with Ashland Inc. as the PC Services Trainer and Unisys/Ashland Technical Liaison for PC Services. Along with this news, my good friend Ty Barnes was also hired as a Client Infrastructure Representative 4 and is my partner in working with the Unisys / Ashland relationship.

I finally have my own Ashland laptop, a Dell Latitude D600. Then Unisys has provided me with a Dell Latitude D610. So, I carry two around most of the time… Fun Stuff… :-)

Lastly and certainly in no way the least… My great friend Marni Molina was hired as my manager! I find that very awesome…

So the title is my company’s (Unisys - http://www.unisys.com) tag line… Imagine it. Done.

With this has brought many new responsibilities. I am working serious overtime and working from home to keep things under control. We’re currently working on deploying machines to the rest of the world and it has been quite busy.

So now the weekend… Maybe I can breathe… Who knows…

Can I just say that I am so busy… I don’t have my PDA setup fully yet, as I am still working on moving from Windows to Mac (yes, still…) and I am 75% there, but not all the way yet. I have so many things scheduled. I work all day and then I go to school two nights a week. Then I have glorious homework. Then I try and stay in touch with everyone I know. I still try and keep volunteer stuff going on.

Maybe if I organized my life even more I could squeeze some more free time out of it. You know, making everything more efficient. Maybe a stricter schedule. Well, we’ll see. I think I might upload my calendar to my .Mac homepage so people can track me and find out what I am up to since I am so busy…

I think a vacation is in order… Who knows…

What… A… Week…

Life has its ups and downs. My great uncles funeral was Friday, which was harder than I thought. It totally slipped my mind that he was a veteran. They did the whole 21 gun salute, taps, and the folding and presenting of the flag to the widow. Very moving to say the least.

Then Adam and I got together Friday evening to hang out and he spent the night at my house. The first time all week I had to relax and do absolutely nothing but hang out. It was nice…

Saturday started with me oversleeping and thus being late to my volunteer project at a church. It went “ok”, but not spectacular in the least. I have to look into why their e-mail didn’t restore to the server, even though it restore was marked, complete. After that whole ordeal I went and met my friend Amy at Steak and Shake for a late late late dinner and fellowship.

Sunday was filled with church goodness. Then we celebrated my birthday today as I won’t be around tomorrow with work and school. Amy came over and had pizza and cake with us. She also got me Abercrombie and Fitch cologne! Thanks Amy! Then we went and drove my car on ‘E’ to Hilliard to buy gas for $1.96 /gl. After that trekked back to her house where I finished some stuff for school this week. Here Amy and Adam and Myself all chatted for a while before me leaving to come home.

Which brings me to now, and now… I must get off and go write some more crap for school this week. Ahh the joys of messed up schedules. If I can survive until Friday, I will be good…
