Well, this will be short. I’ve just been working today, nothing too exciting. All the pending contracts have been moved to confirmed. So that is awesome. I will probably be gone tomorrow working in Circleville, OH. So, all you southern Ohio people… hit me up and see if we can get together.

Just walked in from church. Yes,  it is 3:30ish, and no, I am not going to church tonight. I worked all day there, and needed some time off. Besides if I have to hear that band on Wednesday one more time, I am going to die. Instrumentally they are awesome, vocally… well, lets just say if you ever visit bring ear plugs. So, I am now home ready to begin working again on more stuff, what joy. I will try and post later.

As Always,

I am so proud of myself, I have posted at least once every day for the past few days. I am on the phone right now, so I will post later. Hope VanAtta would like me to shout out to her, and call her hoochie mama .

Monday September 27, 2004

Well, we met yesterday for our bi-weekly planning meeting for the Modern Worship Service. We’ve kind of changed our focus from “If We Are The Body” to “Eternal Makeover”. So, now there is a new logo in the process, and new videos going into place. So, this is going to get interesting with the way the media department ends up handling this last min. change. Also I now have a filming on Tuesday for “Newcomers Coffee Sunday”. This should be interesting, so I will be in < ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Southern Ohio on Tuesday at 7:30.< ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Well, last night we had kind of an interesting evening at church. I spoke with one of the Tech Arts staff members who came to church then left me to go to another church last evening, so I was left to cover a major service (live video, ppt, lighting and sound) by myself. I was all but happy. Thankfully two of the other guys that work with me, showed up, so it ended up working out. The director (best friend, Chad) and I had some words last night about the situation, from his response there will be some changes coming to the Technical Arts department due to lack of commitment. So… we may end up losing a few volunteers over it, but what can I say? If you’re not committed then you’re not really helping, you’re doing more damage than anything when people assume that you’re going to help then never show (or show up then leave).

I talked to my technology partner at the church (he’s my connection to the board = connection to the funds). We’re going to rollout the V2 plan here soon. Which is going to involve completely rebuilding our server (software wise), enforcing new password policies, hosting our own website (at the church), and some other small clean up issues (new GPOs, new scripting, and few other improvements). Which is going to be real fun, hahahaha.

Working on the car the other day and figured out that I need to fix my headlight lens. I have to remove the clear plastic clean it with some stuff, and may end up wet sanding it. I also need to buy a clay bar and do the entire car. Maybe I will go out today and strip the wax and re-wax the car. Wait… I will do that Wednesday that way when I go to church I’ll make my friend Chad’s (black) truck look bad, because he hasn’t had time to wash it. It is a small competition going on; at least it motivates him to wash his truck (2004 Chevy Colorado LS).

Well, I have mucho work to do before I go to bed this evening. So, I am going to get out of here. I will probably be back later and post about some other things going on.

Later Days,
J

P.S. Here is my car that I always talk about (old picture, I’ll post a new one soon):

For those of your who don’t know me… I’ve been seeing a few hits from IPs and domain’s that don’t normall pass by. I know most of the WOW, RR, and FrogNet customers, but everyone else I have no clue who you are. So here is your chance! Introduce yourself, leave a comment! I don’t care if you have no clue who I am, leave me a comment! So, I will be curious to see if I get any. Oh, and for you normal ones, leave me one too, since no one seems to ever leave me comments.

Well, I promised an update, so here it is. I’ve been doing well recently. Working for myself and consulting isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. You get to pick and choose what you do and what pay rate you get. So, it has been pretty fun not having to go into the same place, every day, at the same time. Keeps life interesting.

Well, I’ve worked out the Media Plans for the Spiritual Renewal Conference at my church. I think we’re going to call it “Surrender”. I will post more details as soon as their approved. I will even post the graphics I did for the conference. Also, I worked on some stuff for the “If We Are The Body” series that starts (looks at time), um today. Week 2 is featuring a 1:30 commerical made by yours truly (with help from my Graphics Desiner) and Week 4 is going to feature a hybrid of video and live drama with audience interation, which should be interesting. Week 5 is going to have a full 4:00 min. promo on If We Are The Body promoting “Friend Day” at my church. By the way, if anyone has a more “modern” way of saying “Friend Day” leave me a comment with your suggestion. I am working on a staff where I am the youngest and the one that has experienced other churches that have a more 21st Century approach to things. Personally coming from my age and my point of view the name “Friend Day” has been ran into the ground, the concept however is wonderful, it just needs some modernization going on. So leave some suggestions, or call me, or e-mail me, or IM them to me.

Lets see, I still have a huge to-do list at the church. I am preparing to roll-out v.2 of the Computer Network. Completeting 2 steps out of my 4 step vision for the Information Technologies department there. So, that is going to be a big huge deal here, very soon.

Also, I am trying to “re-vamp” the Visual Arts Ministry there. We need to re-focus and re-think some of the training and procedures. So, this ought to be a hoot and holler when all is said and done. I have to run all this by the Technical Arts Director before I put it into place, but he shouldn’t mind (it really means less work for him).

So, things are busy busy busy. I will try and post as much as possible. I’d post more, but I have to be up bright and early to get from Columbus to Circleville (to go to church, where I always go to church). Anyways, drop me a comment! Better yet, come visit me at church tomorrow!

Saturday September 25, 2004

Hey All,
Yesterday was awesome. I went bowling, then to GodFather’s Pizza, then to go to Wal-Mart to do some hide and go seek. Then we went to K-Mart and rode on the toy horses out front. Pretty fun times and way too many inside jokes. lol…. just thinking about the boobahs makes me laugh.

Anyways, lots has been going on. I will try and post more in detail later. So, enjoy the post (maybe I will get some pics on here later).

As Always,
J

Quick note before I go… This is sad, there are no blog rings for Pontiac Grand AM owners. Just GTO, Sunfire , and Grand Prix owners. Oh well, maybe I will start one, later..

Oh and by the way, three posts in one day. Pretty impressive for the guy who usually never posts. Anyways, keep it real and I will talk with ya all lata. (leave me a comment or message or call me or e-mail me or something!)

As Always,
J

Friday September 24, 2004

Well, didn’t get much work done. I did schedule a conference that I am covering the media on. Also tentively scheduled a conferece to attend next month. Other than that, not much “work” was accompished. The car looks nice though, lol.

So, now I am getting ready to hang out with my friends tonight in < ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Chillicothe. If anyone will be in the area give me ring, and I will see if I can meet up with you.< ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Well, I will try and post later. Maybe tell of some things God’s been doing in my life.

Later Days,
J

Friday September 24, 2004

Welcome all. Working from the house today, so I can post on here. Not much going on. I did most of my work yesterday, which leaves me free to work on the car today! Yes, for those of you who know me, I tend to spend Friday’s working on my Black 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT. I already waxed it this week, so I think I am going to just do a real good wash with some stuff I have that won’t strip the wax. I also need to clean out the interior. That should be good enough. Here before soon I am going to have to strip the wax, claybar the paint, polish it, wax it (about 4-5 coats) and then steam clean the interior. That way I can get it ready for another winter.< ?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Lets see what else, oh yeah I need to change the oil. I’d also like to do some new brakes, but right now why replace something that doesn’t need it? Also for all you Ohioans, where do you get your car serviced? I want to find a good shop to take the car to all the time. The dealer is WAY to expensive and you have to wait forever to get the car worked on. So if you know of a place, post or e-mail me.

I get to see some of my friends from camp this afternoon and evening! We’re meeting in < ?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Chillicothe to hang out. We have absolutely no clue what we’re doing or where we’re going, but we thought we would get together and then decide.

For your viewing enjoyment, here is one out of 55 senior pictures I’ve had taken.

Yes, and if you can read the shirt, it does say A&F. I know, the guy who swore that he’d never wear Abercrombie and Fitch is now wearing A&F…

Well, I am off to start working on the car.

Later Days,
J

Wednesday September 22, 2004

So sorry for not posting sooner. I’ve been extremely busy. Just signed a few new contracts, which is a good thing :-) . Then let me think, oh yeah, my church is starting a new series, “If We Are The Body”. Based off of the Casting Crowns song (which I thought of, :-D ) Anyways, just wanted to shout out to everyone. I will try and post later.

As Always,
J
